Be in prayer for the upcoming North Central Region Retreat. Church of God (Anderson) pastors and leaders from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota will be gathering in Sioux Falls, SD from October 16-18 to hear from the Lord and be transformed.
The speaker for our Fall Retreat is the Rev. Dr. Cliff Sanders: Pastor, Professor, Wesleyan Theologian. Cliff grew up in a pastor’s home, received a call to ministry early in life, and has pursued it ever since. He began ministry as an associate pastor, then pastor, but always with a heart for careful exegesis and intentional, clear communication of Scripture. He spent 30 plus years as a beloved professor in the ministry department at MACU.
Today, he is following his theological passion heading up the School of Wesleyan Studies. One of Cliff’s personal passions is teaching inductive Bible study skills to lay people. We have asked him to teach us how to help the folks in our congregations become more effective in inductive Bible study as well as lead us deeper in a Wesleyan understanding of Scripture. Cliff will be accompanied by his wife, Rebecca (Becky), and it Is with joyful anticipation that we welcome them to the Region during our Fall Retreat.
