About Us

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are supernaturally inspired, and preserved across time, cultures, and continents. These sacred writings have been delivered to us, giving us everything we need for faith and salvation in Christ Jesus, and are useful for reproof and instruction, equipping the saints, and for training in righteousness. The Scriptures are our backstop, the ultimate field of inquiry and judgment, the measure of conduct, faith, and practice.

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.

We believe the Father is the Source of all that exists, whether of matter or spirit. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, He made man, male and female, in His image. While earthly fathers may fail, there is one ultimately good, ultimately loving Father who, above all else, loves and cares for humanity. By intention, He relates to people as Father, and in love, both seeks and receives penitent sinners.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal, only begotten Son of God. The Scriptures declare His deity, conception by the Holy Spirit, virgin birth, sinless life, teachings, miracles, death on a cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension to heaven where He currently sits interceding for us until He returns to judge all humanity.

The Person, the work, and the power of the Holy Spirit is essential to who we are as a people. He is the Comforter promised by Jesus and the witness of our redemption. It’s the ever-present Holy Spirit that transforms, equips, and empowers us. Through Him we are enabled to produce spiritual fruit and are equipped with unique gifts that enable the mission of Christ to be carried out in the world. Through the Holy Spirit we are convicted of sin and given the ability to overcome sin.

Because of sin, man is separated from a loving relationship with God. No amount of good deeds or religious activity can ever atone for our rejection of God. This rebellion ultimately leads to death. The only cure and our only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We receive salvation by faith through grace, demonstrated in repentance, and evidenced by holiness.

Water Baptism:

Outwardly testifies to the inner transformation that has already taken place. We baptize believers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and by full immersion.

Holy Communion:

The Lord’s Supper, represented in the fruit of the vine and bread, expresses Christ’s brokenness that has unified us, His blood that has forgiven our sins, and His death that has given us life.

Foot Washing:

As people of the towel and basin, we lay aside our pride and follow Christ’s example to become humble servants.

It is the will of God for every believer to be sanctified – set apart by the work of the Holy Spirit and fully surrendered to His service. This necessity for Christian discipleship enables us to overcome sin, cleanses the human will, births in us a perfect love, and empowers us to be holy as Christ is holy.

The church is composed of every person who has put their faith in Jesus and committed their lives to His will. We enter into the life of the church, not by joining a denomination or a human organization, but by surrendering our lives to Christ. Collectively, the church is the body of Christ representing Jesus on earth and carrying out the Great Commission.

We are a people uniquely called by God to be a catalyst for Christian unity, believing that the division of the body of Christ is hell’s greatest weapon to thwart heaven’s ends in this world. We are convinced that the splintering of the body is not the Lord’s work, but the enemy’s; we believe that hell trembles at the prospect of a people united, redeemed by the blood, and possessed by the Spirit. While we may not agree on everything, we can rally around our subject, Jesus.

Healing is an important facet of God’s grace. All healing, whether instantaneous or gradual, is Divine Healing because it is all from the healing hands of the Great Physician. His healing is available today for the whole person whether it’s spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional.

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is our assurance that at the Second Coming of Christ, the just will be resurrected to eternal life. This is the blessed hope of all who follow Jesus.

The amillennial return of Jesus Christ will happen suddenly, unexpectedly, personally, visibly, audibly, victoriously, and eternally. As we patiently wait for this promise, we will live lives of holiness and godliness to be ready for His return.

When Jesus returns in glory, bringing about the consummation of this world, the Kingdom of God will be fully displayed. This eternal sanctuary will be a place where the church will worship Jesus face to face and reign with Him forever and ever.

The distribution of the spiritual gifts of God are not determined by sex, race, ethnicity, age, ability/disability. God pours His Spirit on all people, so that what was once divided is now united. We celebrate, encourage, and empower all people, including women in every area of ministry, as gifted and directed by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God established, ordained, and defined marriage as a sacred union exclusively between one biological man and one biological woman as set forth in the Holy Bible. This is the Statement of Marriage and the exclusive definition of marriage recognized by Fellowship Community Church.

We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur within the bonds of a marriage relationship as defined above. We further believe that God in His Word has prohibited intimate sexual activity outside the bonds of marriage.

We believe that any form of sexually intimate acts outside the bonds of marriage are immoral and contrary to God’s Word, including, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, engaging in homosexual, bisexual, or transgender sexual relationships, bestiality, incest, and viewing or creating pornography. This also includes sex-change, gender reassignment, and any other form of gender identity changing whether through medical treatment or cross-dressing.

It is the express policy of this Church that no Church property, whether real, personal, and/or intangible property, or any asset of the Church that is subject to the direction or control of the Church, shall be used in any manner that is or could be perceived by reasonable people to be contrary to the Statement of Marriage contained in this section. This includes, but is not limited to, permitting any Church facilities and/or resources to be used by any person, organization, corporation, or group to convey, intentionally or by implication, what might be perceived as promoting, furthering, or reflecting favorably upon sexually immoral acts and contrary to the Statement of Marriage and Sexuality of the Church.

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the Church as the Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons in leadership roles in the church, in any capacity, whether paid or unpaid, abide by and agree with the Statement of Marriage and Sexuality and Marriage Policy and conduct themselves accordingly.

We believe that God offers redemption, forgiveness, and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ.

We believe that every person must be treated with compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual or group are to be repudiated and are not in accordance with scripture nor the doctrines of the Church.
